When I about 10 years old and had a red pushbike, I used to visit the Ampol service station near my home regularly and beg for more stamp packets from the owner…
The last time I visited he flung open the stamp drawer and threw all the packets across the counter at me—now “&#%!@?!” (euphemism) and don’t come back! – they came free with a tank of fuel!
Anyhow these packets came in a collection last week and I smiled. You might find some in your next mystery box!
